The President of the Republic expressed optimism regarding the negotiations for setting the new minimum wage, stating that he is very satisfied with the progress of the talks. He mentioned that all proposals will be heard, but he cannot disclose figures at this time and hopes to reach a consensus by December. Mulino highlighted that the meetings between government, worker, and business representatives have taken place in a cordial atmosphere without confrontations. He added that this situation is usual, occurring every two years. This week, the Minimum Wage Commission, composed of the government, labor, and business sectors, began its analysis with the goal of agreeing on a minimum wage to take effect in the country from the following year. As the president noted, there were no disputes between the sectors.
