Residents of Puerto Pilón are requesting IDAAN crews to repair this pipe, as they have been without water in their homes for over 24 hours.
Due to a pipe break in the Santa Luisa area in the corregimiento of Puerto Pilón, several outlying communities remain without a potable water service.
These breaks are sometimes caused by water pressure, following the expansion of the Sabanitas water treatment plant, and at other times, by pipes that have not been replaced for years within the communities.
A 12-inch pipe broke at the site, so personnel from the National Aqueducts and Sewers Institute (IDAAN) are working to repair it.
In this sector, it has become common for residents of these communities in the corregimiento of Puerto Pilón to protest the lack of water in their homes, which can last for several days.
