The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) carried out a new road maintenance campaign in Los Santos, applying 40 tons of hot asphalt mix in the Macaracas district. The purpose of this deployment is to optimize the road conditions for residents, transporters, merchants, and the productive sector of the region. Iván Espino, regional director of MOP in Los Santos, explained that these interventions allow for the progressive addressing of critical points identified in the provincial road network. These improvements positively impact the flow of traffic on one of the most important connection routes in the province of Los Santos. During the current month, crews have expanded rehabilitation work to the Llano de Piedra district and the road leading to Tonosí. The application of asphalt reinforces road maintenance in Los Santos. These actions are part of the institutional strategy to rehabilitate internal streets and strategic routes connecting the population of the province. The patching work is based on a weekly planning schedule that rotates through different districts of the province.
