The Panamanian government has extended the benefits scheme for EDECHI customers until June 30, 2026. This decision applies to customers in the provinces of Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro, as well as in the Ngäbe Buglé comarca. The benefits are funded by the West Tariff Fund (FTO).
Panama Extends Electricity Benefits
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the extension of benefits from the West Tariff Fund (FTO) for EDECHI customers until June 30, 2026. The measure will affect residents of the provinces of Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro, as well as the Ngäbe Buglé comarca.
