Fuel Prices Drop in Panama

Just as many families are budgeting to make ends meet, the Ministry of Energy announced a slight fuel price reduction, which will take effect this Friday, December 26, nationwide. According to official information, 95-octane gasoline will drop by three cents to 0.83 cents per liter, while 91-octane gasoline will also see a three-cent reduction, settling at 0.78 cents per liter. Low-sulfur diesel will decrease by four cents to 0.77 cents per liter, a reduction that directly impacts transportation and production costs. Authorities stated these prices will remain in effect until 5:59 AM on Friday, January 8, 2026, meaning drivers will pay a bit less at the pump during the end-of-year holidays. While the decrease is not large, every cent counts for those living day to day who feel how fuel affects their fares, food, and wallet.
