On Friday, the price of gold reached a new all-time high, surpassing $4,533 per ounce, on a day when most international stock markets were closed for the holidays. According to data from Bloomberg collected by EFE, at 15:34 (14:34 GMT), the ounce of gold touched $4,533.23, as it was rising by around 1.2%. Subsequently, the price has slightly eased and is moving around the $4,520 mark, with an advance of 0.9%. Silver is also following in the footsteps of the yellow metal, and has marked a new all-time high at 11:29 (10:29 GMT), with the ounce at $75.63 and a revaluation that exceeded 5%.
