Revisalud Workers in Panama to Resume Garbage Collection After Pay

The Ministry of Labor and Labor Development (MITRADEL) of Panama announced an agreement with the company Revisalud. This agreement will allow for an orderly transition to the authority of the district. Meanwhile, the workers committed to resume garbage collection in San Miguelito, with the intention of normalizing the service and leaving the streets clean, after days of conflict. The union confirmed that the payment will include every cent corresponding to terminations and pending paychecks, although some bank delays could slightly delay the accreditation in accounts. The situation marks a respite for the district, where the lack of collection had generated annoyance among residents. As of today, the workers of the company Revisalud will finally begin to receive the payment of their benefits. The announcement was made by the Minister of Labor and Labor Development (MITRADEL) in Panama, Jackeline Muñoz de Cedeño, after an approach with the company's executives who traveled to the country to resolve the situation. Muñoz indicated that the legal representative of Revisalud arrived in Panama and confirmed that the funds are available to cover the payments. The minister explained that auditors from the Ministry will be present to accompany the workers and verify that everything is done correctly. "The numbers are already clear and as of this Friday the disbursement of the benefits begins," said Rivas. The expectation now is that the entire process will be completed without further setbacks.
