Panama Showcases Its Offerings at FITUR 2026 in Madrid

From January 21 to 25, Panama showcases its tourism potential at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR 2026), held in Madrid.

Gastronomy and technology: Panama's tools to captivate at FITUR 2026

With the participation of 34 providers and an offer based on genuine experiences, the country seeks to consolidate strategic alliances and strengthen air connectivity from Madrid. Gloria De León, Administrator General of the ATP, emphasized that this platform is fundamental to strengthening air connectivity and increasing international visibility, aligning with the preferences of the European traveler who prioritizes nature and local identity.

Gastronomy, tradition, and technological innovation

The Panama pavilion highlights the status of Panama City as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. The delegation, made up of the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP), PROMTUR Panama, and a total of 34 local providers, presents itself to influential media and decision-makers from around the world. Additionally, the stand offers a guided tasting of Geisha coffee, recognized as the most valued in the world, allowing attendees to learn about the excellence processes that distinguish Panamanian specialty coffee.

As part of the technological component, Panama incorporates a 360° sensory tunnel and virtual reality tours that allow for an immersive exploration of the destination's landscape richness.

With this deployment at FITUR 2026, the country reinforces its positioning as a diverse, authentic, and highly competitive destination on the global stage.

Under the guidance of chef Rachel Pol Policart, an ascending culinary scene is exhibited, backed by restaurants featured on the Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants list. This offering is complemented by cultural displays that include traditional attire, folk dances, and the participation of a representative from the Emberá community, who shares their ancestral art with the attending public.
