According to the Technological University of Panama (UTP), this effort is possible thanks to the collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Industries of Panama and the National Secretariat of Science, Technology, and Innovation (Senacyt). UTP highlights the 'support from the UTP's Semiconductor Advanced Technology Center AIP (C-TASC AIP) and the backing of the Research and Advanced Studies Center (CINVESTAV) of Guadalajara, Mexico'. 'The opening of this laboratory and the start of this specialized course represent a firm step towards training,' ensures UTP. For this higher education center, the laboratory adds to a state-of-the-art infrastructure that will make it possible to bring students, teachers, and researchers closer to the technologies that drive global innovation today. The course involves 10 students and five teachers from various universities and will last for eight months and 610 hours. The Technological University of Panama inaugurated this Monday a Semiconductor Design Laboratory as well as the start of the Intensive Course in Mixed Signal Semiconductors.
