The East area of the capital city continues to register violent acts. Proof of this is that during the early hours of Monday, a man was assassinated in La Ersa, located in the San Joaquín sector, corregimiento of Pedregal. The hands of the clock marked 12:55 in the morning when detonations of a firearm were heard. Some residents who were outside their homes at the time of the crime managed to see that several unknown individuals, who remained hidden in a thicket, fired at Perea, who was hit by one of the bullets in the right side of the abdomen. Although the young man was urgently transferred to the Irma de Lourdes Tzanetatos Hospital, he died 40 minutes after the armed attack.
“What happened?” some residents wondered, without suspecting at that moment that Luis Inocencio Perea Ríos, 20, had been attacked.
