The San Miguelito Municipality announced the launch of the 'Mission Clean' plan, to be implemented during November and December. From January 19, the sanitation fee will be collected by the municipality. The municipality asks residents to update their data to avoid different billing for waste collection. From 2026, the municipality will take over the billing for waste collection services. 'Mission Clean' is the top priority for this administration. Supervision of the waste collection company, which currently meets 75-80% of service requirements, will be stricter until the contract ends. Special operations will be activated to prevent a sanitary crisis. Fines from B/.25 to B/.5,000 will be imposed on violators, with support from cameras installed in various areas. The measures include increasing special collection and recycling days, expanding routes for bulky waste, and continuing the 'Fast Auto Recycling' service at Los Andes Mall and Villa Lucre. To update their information, residents must present their electricity bill showing the sanitation fee and their NAC number. This procedure is available from November 17 to December 31 via WhatsApp or at the main municipal office. The municipality reminds that December is the month with the highest waste generation, with last year seeing around 520 tons daily, 30% more than the rest of the year.
