Shootout in Puerto Pilón: One Dead, Two Injured

A shootout in Puerto Pilón, Colón province (Panama), left one person dead and two injured. Police are searching for suspects.


In Rio Alejandro, considered a red zone and dangerous area due to the presence of gangs, a violent event occurred. The National Police moved to the area where the event took place to find those involved in this bloody incident. The three people affected by the attack were initially taken to the emergency room of the Policlinic Don Laurencio Jaén Ocaña, in the Sabanitas district, to receive medical attention. The body of the deceased remained at the Sabanitas Policlinic for the forensic team to carry out the removal. One person was killed and two were injured in an intense shootout that occurred in the barracks of the Puerto Pilón district, Colón province. Agents from the National Police's Linces unit arrived at the scene and helped the injured to be taken to hospital. Subsequently, the survivors were transferred to the emergency room of the Dr. Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital Complex in the city of Colón. However, one of the injured, who was transported in a yellow-striped pick-up truck, arrived with no vital signs.
