A man aged between 40 and 45 died at his home after being attacked with a bladed weapon in the community of Los Chumicos, located in Los Caracoles de Olá, Coclé province. According to reports, the victim, after being struck with a machete on one of his legs by another man, apparently during a brawl, managed to walk to his house asking for help. Although his family requested assistance from the National Police, by the time the officers arrived at the residence, he had unfortunately already died from blood loss. Personnel from the Prosecutor's Office's Criminalistics and experts from the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences (IMELCF) were summoned to the scene to carry out the corpse removal procedure, thus initiating the investigation into the case. A judicial source confirmed that there is a suspect in custody in connection with this case. With this crime, the number of homicides recorded in the province of Coclé so far this year has risen to 13.
