Panama launches year-end security operation

In Panama, the smell of December is already in the air, and with it comes the bustle in the streets, shopping, parties, and also concerns about security. This Friday, security agencies launched the 'Safe End of Year 2025 Operation,' a plan that will deploy 12,341 units to the streets to protect people from one end of the country to the other. The National Police leads the operation with 7,207 units, to which are added 2,715 from the Aeronaval Police, 1,500 from Senafront, 818 from Migration, and 101 from SUME 911, including paramedics and support staff. Starting December 1st, thousands of uniformed officers will begin a deployment that has one single goal: to guarantee peace of mind for Panamanian families during the time when the most money, people, and risks are on the move. This operation is based on the 'Firmeza' Plan, which reinforces crime prevention, surveillance in neighborhoods and businesses, migratory control, security on coasts and in the skies, and rapid emergency response. This is not just one agency: it is a strong combination. The National Police, Senafront, Senan, Migration, and SUME 911 will all be working together to cover streets, borders, airports, ports, and any point where people need protection.
