Community Board Calls for Solidarity After El Empalme Tragedy

The El Empalme Community Board expressed regret over a murder that occurred during a national football team celebration and called for community unity. The Catholic church will lead Christmas festivities.

The Community Board asks for public understanding and solidarity as the district seeks to heal and recover its spirit. In a statement, the Community Board expressed that it 'deeply regrets what happened on November 19th, and for this reason, the well-being of the citizenry has been prioritized.' The Board emphasized that its commitment remains firm to promote peace, empathy, and support the community. It should be recalled that in the early morning of November 19th, while the community was celebrating the national football team's victory over their rival from El Salvador, a man was murdered in a nightclub. This incident directly affected members of the El Empalme district. On the other hand, it was reported that the Catholic Church Sagrado Corazón de Jesús will take the lead in putting up the Christmas tree and maintaining the decorations, because Christmas is, in the end, also about comfort, unity, and hope in the midst of difficult times.
