A man was killed and a woman was injured in a shooting incident that occurred in Concepción La Vieja, a district of Juan Díaz, near the well-known Red Bridge.
Preliminary data indicates that the victims were shot in front of a residence gate around 6:00 AM on Sunday. The man, identified as Damián Roque Rodríguez (34 years old), known by the alias 'Damiancin', died at the scene. His body was found lying between a gray sedan and the gate of the residence after being hit by several bullets.
The woman (34 years old) had to be urgently transported by police units to the J.J. Vallarino Polyclinic in Juan Díaz, as she was hit by two firearm projectiles in the back and right side. It is reported that she remains in serious condition.
The reason for the attack on this couple remains unknown. However, it is known that Damián was arrested for illegal possession of a weapon in 2014 and 2019.
