Man Rescued After Being Swept Away by River in Panama

Boquete firefighters rescued a 50-year-old man who was swept away by the Caldera River. Rescuers found him on the bank and extracted him from the dangerous location.


Special units of the Boquete Fire Department managed to locate and extract a citizen who was swept away by the currents of the Caldera River and had become stranded on one of its banks. The incident occurred on Monday, November 24, 2025. Firefighters were able to quickly respond to the emergency and conduct a rescue operation, as a result of which the victim was rescued and brought to safety. According to preliminary information, the man sustained injuries, but his life is not in danger.
