Authorities from a technical board composed of the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) and security agencies managed to clear the landslides that had left families isolated in the Salamanca district, in the Transisthmus area of the Colón province. Due to these incidents, more than 30 families were left completely cut off. Recent rains had isolated the communities of Boquerón Arriba, Boquerón Abajo, and Santa Librada. The work managed to clear at least five points where landslides were impeding free vehicular traffic. By Sunday, access and mobility on this internal road had already been restored, while security agencies maintain surveillance in the region, where rain is still recorded in several sectors.
