The Integrated Criminal Statistics System (SIEC) reported that by December 14, 2025, Panama had recorded 566 homicides, including 16 unintentional cases. Provinces of Panama, Colon and Panama West led the numbers with 350, 111 and 51 incidents respectively. The intentional homicide rate stands at 12 per 100,000 residents, classified as moderate. It is projected that the month’s total will remain around 47, below the historical peak. The data underscores the need to strengthen security and crime prevention across the country.
