Manuel Quintero Unveils New Carnival Song

Manuel Quintero, known artistically as "El Ahijado Montañero," returns to the stage with a new and catchy carnival theme titled "No soy rakataka, no soy yeye." This cheerful, flirty, and identity-filled theme connects with the popular and carnival-loving public. For the recording of the track, he counted on the voice of singer Yarineth Cedeño, while for the official live presentations, the vocal interpretation will be in charge of the renowned Perla Negra de Veraguas, adding strength, charisma, and stage flavor to the show. On the accordion and musical direction, Manuel Quintero is in charge, imprinting his authentic and delicious mountain style on the cumbia rhythm. After his participation in the "Yo Me Llamo" 2025 program, where he received excellent acceptance from the public although he did not manage to qualify for the finals, Manuel took this experience as an impulse to return to the fray. With this, he strengthens typical music, reaffirming his commitment to the mountain style inherited from his artistic godfather, Alfredo Escudero, and the pen of composer Didimo Barrios. The song tells the story of an inland woman who describes herself with pride, saying that she is neither one nor the other, but that she has more than enough flavor, presence, and charm to make anyone dance. Quintero will have his official presentation on Carnival Sunday at a grand dance in the Jardín Brisas Ocueñas in Malengue, Pacora, where he will perform this new theme along with his repertoire of typical music for the enjoyment of all dancers.
