Naval Air Force Reinforces Beaches and Coastal Areas

As part of Operation Safe Summer 2026, the Air and Naval Service is reinforcing security on beaches and coastal areas. The operation, which began in January, will continue until the end of summer. The service maintains a constant presence to prevent incidents. According to the statement, no unfortunate incidents have been recorded in the areas under its jurisdiction thanks to these preventative actions. Trained lifeguards have been deployed to act immediately in any water emergency, maintaining constant surveillance in areas with the highest visitor concentration. The public is urged to behave responsibly: stay hydrated, use sunscreen, avoid direct sun exposure between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm, refrain from entering rivers or beaches while under the influence of alcohol, respect safety flag signals, and supervise minors at all times. Operational coverage includes strategic points such as Taboga, Contadora, Ermita de San Carlos, La Ensenada, Santa Clara, Playa El Uverito, Playa Arrimadero, Las Lajas, Barqueta, and Estero Rico, where lifeguards safeguard bathers.
