Pilots celebrate their week with a new app and leadership change

The Panamanian Association of Commercial Pilots (UNPAC) kicked off the Pilot Aviator Week, celebrated every January 30, with a packed agenda of training and technology. This Monday, January 26, UNPAC launched its new mobile application, created exclusively for its members. The app will allow for the digitization of procedures, consultation of guild information, and quick access to internal services, aiming to leave paperwork behind and gain agility. Activities continue on Wednesday, January 28, and Thursday, 29, with the workshop 'Introduction to the Pilot Career'. At this event, the swearing-in of the Board of Directors for 2026-2028 will take place, which will again be chaired by Captain Ilma Velásquez. The week closes on Saturday, January 31, with the UNPAC Annual Gala Dinner. Key topics will be addressed, such as the pilot-in-command's responsibility, the Safety Management System (SMS), and the State Safety Program (SSP), pillars of commercial aviation.
