At a press conference marked by cultural richness and traditional symbolism, the National Council of the Chinese Ethnicity (CONECHI) formalized the announcement of the festivities for the Chinese New Year 2026. This edition, to be officially celebrated on the upcoming February 22, will be governed by the figure of the Fire Horse, an emblem that represents prosperity, energy, and the determination to move towards a more inclusive and solidary future. El Dorado: Epicenter of Cultural Integration. Minister of Social Development and President of CONECHI, Beatriz Carles, confirmed that the Chinatown of El Dorado has been chosen to host the two main events: a large-scale cultural fair and the traditional parade.
