In Panama, the body of an elderly man, nearly 80 years old, was recovered this Thursday floating in the waters of the Cobre River, in the community of La Ortiga, located in the district of Las Palmas, Veraguas province. Units of the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) from the SonĂ¡ base, upon receiving the alert call, went to the riverbank and, after verifying the information, proceeded to remove the body from the water. It was reported that, for the moment, the victim's identity is unknown and there are no missing person reports in La Ortiga. On the other hand, Sinaproc continues the search for a man of about 60 years old, who was last seen five days ago by neighbors in the community of El Cebadero, located in the Suay district, Santiago Sur. It was reported that the missing man's relatives assume he suffers from some illness and forgot the way back home. In this situation, the Search and Rescue personnel has mobilized to the area for the tracking operation.
