Paul Anderson, the actor who played Arthur Shelby, will not be at the highly anticipated premiere of the Peaky Blinders film, despite his character being one of the saga's most explosive and loyal.
Shelby's absence is because his interpreter, Paul Anderson, went through a complicated time that affected his participation in the project. Last January, Anderson pleaded guilty to British justice for possession of several drugs, including crack and cocaine, following an incident that occurred in a pub during the Christmas holidays.
According to his lawyer, Anderson "does everything possible to please fans by getting into character", although this dedication led him to accept risky "incentives" in private circles. It was also learned that during the filming of the series' sixth season, other reports about his behavior had been recorded, which further complicated his stay on set.
