Jesús Antonio Alemán, who was an independent candidate for representative of the Juan Díaz district, died yesterday afternoon after suffering multiple gunshot wounds. According to initial reports, the incident occurred during the inauguration of a sports league on 19th Street in Ciudad Radial. Another version indicates that the shots were fired after some of those involved in the fight left and returned minutes later, opening fire indiscriminately. Unofficial reports suggest the victim received at least seven gunshot wounds.
