The Regional University Center of Los Santos (CRULS) of the University of Panama held the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025, where 314 new professionals from 12 faculties received their degrees, reaffirming the contribution of this academic unit to the region's development. The event also highlighted the efforts in the accreditation processes of careers as a way to guarantee high educational quality standards, and it was recalled that the University of Panama maintains a presence in all provinces of the country, facilitating access to higher education for diverse sectors, including indigenous communities and penitentiary centers.

Finally, the Vice-Rector urged the new professionals to practice with ethics, responsibility, and social commitment, emphasizing that these values are fundamental to professional success. With the graduation of these new professionals, the Regional University Center of Los Santos reinforces the University of Panama's commitment to bringing quality higher education to all regions of the country, contributing to sustainable development and the training of human capital at the service of Panamanian society.

Edwin Díaz, director of CRULS, highlighted the progress achieved during his tenure, also emphasizing the digitalization of processes, the decentralization of academic procedures that facilitate procedures without the need to travel to the central headquarters, the strengthening of the vehicle fleet, and the consolidation of postgraduate programs. The director congratulated the graduates, especially the first graduates of Nursing and Agronomic Engineering, and highlighted the accreditation of academic programs, the creation of new careers, and the delivery of the electronic diploma for the first time.

During the event, the graduation of the first class of the Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Sciences and Agronomic Engineering was highlighted, marking a significant advance in the expansion of its academic offer. The center, which also has annex programs in Tonosí and Macaracas, continues to strengthen its presence in the province and expand access to higher education.

Verónica Batista, who ranked first in the honor roll, a graduate in Accounting, delivered a message focused on perseverance and professional commitment, urging her classmates to advance with courage, highlighting that courage is the ability to act despite fear and is a key element to overcome obstacles and respond competently to the demands of society.

During his speech, Mgtr. Arnold Muñoz, Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs, gave the speech on behalf of Rector Dr. Eduardo Flores Castro, pointing out that the regional center has been a motor of development and a source of opportunities for youth, highlighting its impact on the social transformation of the province.
