In Darién, a fire recently consumed a sawmill. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as a result of this incident.
According to local authorities, the fire started in the afternoon and quickly spread through the sawmill's facilities. Firefighters arrived on the scene to contain the flames and prevent them from spreading to nearby areas.
The owner of the sawmill expressed relief that no one was injured in the fire. Although significant material damage has been recorded, the causes of the fire are being investigated to determine its origin.
"We are grateful that everyone is safe. It is unfortunate to lose the infrastructure, but the important thing is the lives of people," said the owner of the sawmill.
