The representative of the Betania community, Humberto Echevarría, has requested the Land Transit and Transportation Authority (ATTT) to carry out operations to prevent an imminent tragedy. This is because illegal street races have begun to move to Tumba Muerto road, endangering the safety of residents and drivers in the area.
According to Echevarría, these races not only pose a danger to those participating in them but also to pedestrians and drivers who regularly travel on the road. The increase in speed and reckless behavior of participants in these illegal competitions can result in serious and fatal accidents.
"It is essential that the ATTT take immediate action to prevent a tragedy. Authorities must consistently conduct operations in the area to deter those responsible for these illegal races and ensure the safety of all citizens," Echevarría stated.
The Betania representative also called on neighbors and residents of the area to report any suspicious activity related to illegal racing and contribute to maintaining safety in their community. Citizen collaboration is crucial to eradicate this dangerous practice and protect the lives of residents in the area.
In light of this situation, it is expected that the ATTT will take immediate actions to address the problem of illegal street racing on Tumba Muerto road and ensure road safety in the area. Cooperation between authorities, residents, and drivers is essential to prevent tragedies and maintain peace in the community.
