Two Costa Ricans were rescued —in good health— 25 nautical miles from Punta Burica by units of the National Border Service (Senafront), after their boat sank in the high seas.
The foreigners, aged 28 and 29, had departed on November 30 from Bahía Drake Port, located in the province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
Following the rescue, the crew members were transferred to the Senafront base in Limones (Chiriquí), where they received initial care. Subsequently, they were referred to the Dionisio Arrocha Hospital, in Puerto Armuelles, for specialized medical evaluation.
