Panama unites for life: Teletón 2024 modernizes the National Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (INMFRE), bringing hope to thousands of patients.
Club Activo 20-30 celebrated a historic day by delivering the long-awaited Teletón 2024 flagship project, which involves the modernization and equipment of the National Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (INMFRE) to provide better care for Panamanian patients.
This ambitious project strengthens several key areas of INMFRE, including the Gait Laboratory and the Orthotics and Prosthetics Laboratory, with state-of-the-art equipment that positions the institution as an international benchmark.
"For Danilo Pinto Muñoz, president of Club Activo 20-30, this project represents the fulfillment of a commitment to the country and its citizens. With over 100,000 annual appointments, these new resources will enable more precise treatments, reducing recovery times and improving clinical outcomes," the statement said.
"This delivery marks a milestone in our mission to transform lives through rehabilitation," he emphasized.
"We are very proud to close the Teletón 2024 cycle with a tangible impact that will benefit thousands of Panamanians," said Jonathan Pacheco, president of Teletón 2024.
Delky Meza, deputy director of INMFRE, added: "This equipment puts us at the forefront, allowing us to serve patients of all ages more efficiently, from children to adults in need of cardiac rehabilitation and mobility."
"Projects like this are the ones that truly transform lives and bring hope during the recovery process," Pinto reiterated.
In turn, Carlos Tarragó, president of Teletón 2025, celebrated the realization of these flagship projects and invited everyone to continue supporting initiatives that positively impact the Panamanian population.
