12 people treated at hospital after incident at San Miguelito Christmas parade

Panama's Ministry of Health reports on the aftermath of an incident during a Christmas parade. Twelve people, including a pregnant woman and children, were treated at San Miguel Arcángel Hospital. All victims are in stable condition.

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) informs the general public that following the incident that occurred during the Christmas parade in San Miguelito last Sunday, December 21st, the San Miguel Arcángel Hospital attended to twelve (12) people, including five (5) minors and seven (7) adults.

Among the patients treated was a pregnant woman who, although she only presented minor signs of blows, was subjected to fetal monitoring as a preventive measure.

Similarly, a young woman who showed disorientation was attended to, and she was given a CT scan; subsequently, the medical staff determined that this condition was associated with a pre-existing intellectual disability.

Meanwhile, the Dr. J.J. Vallarino Polyclinic assisted two pediatric patients who remain stable, while another affected person was transferred to Santo Tomás Hospital.

To date, none of the people who received medical attention at the various health facilities show signs of severity and have not required hospitalization.
