Panamanian authorities have confirmed that batches of infant milk formula recalled in other countries due to possible contamination have not entered the country. The National Directorate for Food Control and Veterinary Surveillance (DNCAVV) conducted an inspection after Argentina and the Netherlands reported the recall of batches of Nestlé NAN Optipro 1 with HMO and Nestlé Alfamino due to potential contamination with Bacillus cereus bacteria. It was determined that the batches sold in Panama were not manufactured in Argentina, and the batches from the Netherlands also pose no danger. DNCAVV experts confirmed that all dairy products on the national market are safe for consumption and do not pose a risk to the population.
