Minister of Health Fernando Boyd Galindo inaugurated a modern tomograph at the Hospital Joaquín Pablo Franco Sayas, a high-tech piece of equipment valued at over one million dollars. This will strengthen diagnostic capabilities and improve timely care for over 96,000 residents of the Los Santos province and neighboring provinces such as Herrera and Veraguas. During the inauguration ceremony, Minister Boyd Galindo highlighted that the commissioning of this tomograph represents a significant advance for the public health network, by facilitating more accurate diagnoses, reducing waiting times, and avoiding unnecessary patient transfers to other regions of the country, directly impacting the quality of medical care. The event was also attended by the regional director of Health of Los Santos, Manuel Antonio González González, who emphasized the importance of the modern tomograph for the province, noting that this equipment strengthens the hospital's diagnostic capacity and becomes a fundamental tool for emergency care, hospitalization, and specialized consultation, to the direct benefit of patients.
