The emergency service of the Policlinica Don Alejandro De La Guardia, Hijo, located in Betania, will remain closed on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., due to a deep cleaning of its facilities, reported the Social Security Fund (Caja de Seguro Social - CSS).
It was announced that the authorities of the policlinica have coordinated the support of other executing units for patient care, if necessary. The CSS states that once the cleaning tasks are completed, the service will be restored normally.
«During the execution of these works, access to the intervened area will not be permitted, in order to guarantee the biosecurity conditions for patients, health personnel, and visitors,» indicates the Caja.
The emergency room's hours on Saturday, January 17, will be from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. On Sunday, January 18, care will be provided during its usual hours, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
