The hotel chain has implemented rigorous food safety and water control protocols to ensure the well-being of thousands of guests across its 23 hotels in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Lorena Coler, Corporate Director of Safety and Hygiene for Hoteles Decameron, emphasized that in the hospitality sector, safety is a direct commitment to the customer experience, allowing for the anticipation of potential risks through compliance with local and international standards.

A Culture of Prevention and Continuous Improvement

The system's effectiveness lies in a permanent training scheme for operational staff and the presence of specialized coordinators at each location to conduct constant internal audits.

In this context, Decameron All Inclusive Hotels & Resorts has reinforced the implementation of its HACCP Decameron program (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), an internationally recognized system designed to identify and mitigate risks in food and beverage management.

Excellence Standards in International Audits

The most recent results from the chain's Sustainability Report reveal outstanding performance in sanitary control. Its application covers three critical areas for hotel operations: food safety, general safety, and water control, both for human consumption and recreational use.

These figures place the organization above standard regulatory requirements and various international certification processes.

Comprehensive Scope: Food, Water, and Safety

The HACCP Decameron program is not limited exclusively to the kitchen. Of the 23 hotels that make up its operation in six countries, 95% (20 properties) achieved a 100% rating in the program's audits, while the remaining 5% (3 hotels) scored 99%.

According to the program's management, the main challenge is not only to achieve certification objectives but also to maintain discipline and process standardization in day-to-day operations.

With these actions, the chain aims to consolidate robust processes that contribute to offering reliable and high-quality stays for travelers visiting its destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean, promoting an organizational culture focused on prevention and teamwork.
