The Caja de Seguro Social (CSS) filed a criminal complaint with the Public Ministry regarding the possible theft of medications in the province of Chiriquí. This fact has raised alarms within the health system.
Following the complaint, officials from the Public Ministry initiated an investigation of their own to identify those responsible for this incident, which directly affects patients and damages the credibility of the institution.
The case is now in the hands of the authorities, while concern grows about the fate of the drugs.
The general director of the CSS, Dino Mon Vásquez, stated that the entity promptly alerted the authorities upon detecting the anomalies. He indicated that the loss of key medications is a cause for concern, as it impacts medical care.
