Panamanian Dancer Yoryi Campos Battles Pain and Seeks Support

Panamanian dancer and choreographer Yoryi Campos is suffering from severe pain caused by a herniated disc between the L5 and S1 vertebrae. He explained that the pain is so intense that it prevents him from performing basic activities such as walking long distances, standing for long periods, or even sitting. Currently, Campos remains in bed while waiting to undergo surgery that will allow him to return to his routine, for which he needs the support of the Panamanian people. To raise funds, two activities are planned: a massive salsa class on the 16th with renowned instructors in the country, and a Christian concert on the 19th with the participation of artists like Yeison Vega. Both events aim to raise funds to cover not only the surgery but also the subsequent therapies, which are fundamental to his rehabilitation. Campos also referred to the climate of distrust generated by recent cases of alleged scams related to charitable collections, such as the high-profile case of Taitiana. However, he assured that, despite this, they have made significant progress in the fundraising. 'Thank God we have already collected quite a bit,' he expressed, confident that he will soon be able to start the process for his operation. Meanwhile, the dancer remains under treatment with medication to control the pain.
