Health Table Concludes in Panama

The Health Table, created by President José Raúl Mulino to address the health crisis, concludes its dialogues after nine sessions. A detailed summary was presented.


The Health Table, initiated by President José Raúl Mulino to address the crisis in health services, has concluded its discussions. During nine sessions, Rogelio Gordón, deputy director of the Social Security Fund (CSS), provided a detailed summary of the progress and challenges faced in the health system.

"We are committed to ensuring the quality and accessibility of medical care for all citizens," highlighted Gordón during one of the meetings. Proposals to improve the efficiency in the delivery of health services and ensure adequate coverage were also discussed.

Representatives from various health sectors actively participated in the Table, providing ideas and solutions to address the identified deficiencies. Topics such as hospital infrastructure, availability of medications, and training of health personnel were debated.

At the conclusion of the sessions, it was agreed to develop a final report with specific recommendations to improve the health system and ensure that citizens receive the care they need. The Health Table has been a fundamental space for dialogue and collaboration among different stakeholders involved in the health sector in the country.
