The Cabinet Council of Panama has declared a national state of emergency due to the weather situation in the country. The Minister of the Presidency, Juan Carlos Orillac, reported that during this storm, 11 people have died and efforts are being intensified to address urgent needs, such as the restoration of production roads and the pumping stations of the water treatment plants.

Regarding this decision, deputy Betserai Richards commented: "It is essential that immediate measures are taken to safeguard the lives of our fellow citizens and mitigate the effects of this natural disaster that we are facing." The deputy emphasized the importance of solidarity and the prompt response of the authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of the affected population.

Authorities have been working in coordination to provide assistance to the most affected communities and restore basic services as quickly as possible. Citizens have been urged to remain calm and follow the instructions of local authorities in case of emergency.
