According to official data, this year the institution has already seized 52,327 packages of illicit substances in 117 operations, reinforcing national security and dealing a blow to drug networks that insist on moving their merchandise through the country. Naval units dealt another heavy blow to drug trafficking, seizing 600 packages of alleged illicit substances at El Rincón Beach, Los Santos province. It was detailed that, in addition, authorities managed to seize a handmade boat. Everything was handed over to the Los Santos Drugs Prosecutor's Office, which ordered the verification and counting of the material. At the scene, several individuals with suspicious behavior attempted to escape, but units managed the capture and recovery of several sacks that were hidden in the bushes. Intelligence, patrol, and control of illicit maritime trafficking operations led to the discovery of an abandoned vessel.

Panamanian authorities conducted another operation against drug trafficking, seizing over 600 packages of illicit substances and a handmade boat. This is part of an overall campaign where more than 52,000 drug packages have been confiscated since the beginning of the year.
