Gabriel Diez, president of the Board of Directors of the Higher Technical Institute (ITSE), clarified that the resignation of the manager, Milena Gómez, has not been requested, as has been speculated in recent days.
Diez explained that the decision was made to send her on vacation during the audit process being conducted by the Comptroller General's Office at the institution.
The president specified that the measure aims to ensure the transparency of the audit process. "We considered that she should not be at the ITSE while this procedure is carried out," he noted.
He added that the manager Gómez had accumulated 120 days of vacation, which is not an appropriate practice, so she was granted 60 days of rest, extendable for another 60.
Diez also highlighted that there is currently no negative evaluation of the manager's performance and no indications of mismanagement in her work. "There is no evaluation of her position at this time or suspicions of irregularities," he said.
