In Panama, a 34-year-old man was ordered provisional detention by a judge from the Accusatory Penal System (SPA) in the province of Colón, for allegedly attacking his romantic partner with a bladed weapon, causing injuries. The violent incident occurred on the night of November 22, 2025, in the Puerto Pilón district, where the individual verbally and physically assaulted his partner with a machete inside their home. The case is being investigated by the Family Section of the Regional Prosecutor's Office of Colón and Guna Yala. During the hearing, the Prosecutor's Office requested the Guarantee Court to legalize the apprehension and the formulation of charges against him, requests that were admitted by the judge. The assault caused injuries to the victim, for which she was assigned a legal medical incapacity of eight days. Following an investigation, the individual was captured and presented before the Accusatory Penal System to answer for this domestic violence crime.
