A large shipment of illicit substances was discovered at a Pacific Port terminal in the province of Panama. The operation was carried out with the assistance of the Naval Air Service of Panama. Initially, intelligence and profiling were conducted on board the vessel, leading to the discovery of packages in the stern. Subsequently, coordination was established with the Drug Prosecutor's Office of the province of Panama to carry out verification and counting procedures. The illicit substance was found in a hidden compartment on a ship traveling from Charleston, United States, with a stop in Panama and final destination in Australia. According to the Naval Air Service, so far in 2025, 56,281 packages of illicit substances have been seized through 125 operations.
