The Ministry of Social Development (MIDES) has officially announced the opening of the registration period at the Center for Training and Development of Adolescents (CEFODEA) and the launch of the strategic campaign «100 seats to keep moving forward». This initiative is aimed at young people between the ages of 14 and 17 who are outside the regular education system, offering them a path to resume their comprehensive training. The Minister of Social Development, Beatriz Carles, met with local authorities in San Miguelito to present the project and manage alliances that strengthen the center's impact in the district. The registration process will extend until March 9th from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Interested parties must attend with their guardian, undergo an initial interview, and present their youth ID, school credits, two ID photos, and a copy of their latest report card. The center has received an investment of over 50 thousand dollars, earmarked for the adaptation of a modern computer center, infrastructure renewal, and the removal of discarded vehicles that were affecting green areas. The center guarantees the completion of basic education through the MEDUCA «Youth and Adults» program in a day shift. Cases like those of Genesis Asprilla and Emidelka Sabugara, graduates who are now pursuing higher studies at the University of Panama, validate the intervention model that combines technical training with psychological support and the development of soft skills. Since its creation in 1993, the institution has reincorporated more than 700 students.
