According to the Management Report for the second half of 2025, over 40,000 personal identification documents are awaiting collection. The regions with the highest number of unclaimed documents are: Panama East (9,857), Chiriquí (5,847), Panama (Ancón) (3,622); Bocas del Toro (3,527), Panama West (2,586), and San Miguelito (2,478). Meanwhile, the regions with the fewest documents to be delivered are: the Guna Yala region, with 194; Los Santos (411), and Darién (751). Regarding cédula processing at consulates during the second half of 2025, the total was 319 documents, 192 for men and 127 for women. According to the entity, the majority were processed in the United States, with 262 documents, and Spain, with 57. In North America, a large number of cédula issuances were made in New York (68), Miami (60), and Houston (55). The Electoral Tribunal urges citizens to come and collect their cédula during public service hours. The institution reported that 40,297 personal identity documents, which have been issued but not yet collected by their owners, are held at the various cédula offices across the country.
