The Bayano Collective, forged in the best traditions of struggle and in the defense of Panama's sovereignty over all its territory, unreservedly supports the courageous decision of the Cuban government and people to face imperialist aggression and the inhumane blockade of shipments of food, oil, equipment, medical supplies, and medicines, destined for the besieged island of Cuba. The siege imposed by the White House on Cuba, as well as the alarming deployment of an aircraft carrier in the Caribbean Sea, represent a serious threat to world peace and an evident manifestation of unjustifiable belligerent hostility that deserves repudiation and the urgent mobilization of progressive sectors. At this hour of great political and historical decisions, it must be clear that Cuba is not alone and that international law is on its side against the forces of hatred, brutal plunder, and crime.
