The Panama National Police carried out an operation in the Panama Viejo district. During a patrol, an officer got into a verbal altercation with a local resident. During the conflict, the man insulted the officer, who responded in kind and fired a shot into the air from his shotgun. The officer then threatened the resident with his weapon. At that moment, a woman in the house where the confrontation was taking place shouted that there was a baby inside. The Panama National Police has not yet issued an official statement on the case, nor have they provided details about what caused the reaction on both sides.
