Hearing on alleged overruns to the detriment of MOP concludes, awaiting sentence

After the parties' intervention phase concluded, the court informed that it will adhere to the legal term to issue the corresponding sentence. During the judicial proceeding, it must be determined whether the alleged crime against public administration was committed, in the form of various types of embezzlement, to the detriment of the Ministry of Public Works (MOP). In the last session, five defenders who still had pending interventions participated. In the morning, the lawyers of two investigated individuals intervened, for whom the Public Ministry and the plaintiff requested guilty verdicts for the crime of aggravated embezzlement, one as the author and the other as a participant. With the closing of the hearing, the court must analyze the arguments presented by the parties before issuing the ruling that will define the criminal liability of the accused in this process related to alleged overruns in public works.
