As part of the 'Firmness Plan', Panamanian police conducted 73 raids, seized weapons and drugs, and issued hundreds of traffic fines. The operation is aimed at combating crime.


Panamanian Police Apprehend 190 People in 24 Hours

In the last 24 hours, as part of the 'Firmness Plan', the National Police apprehended 190 people, of which 147 were by warrant, 27 for administrative offenses, nine for micro-trafficking, and seven caught in the act.

73 raids were conducted and three firearms with 36 ammunition, a sum of 2,200 dollars, were seized. Two vehicles with theft and robbery complaints were also recovered.

Additionally, 67 packages of drugs, 33 flat packages, 149 tubes, 26 small bags, five envelopes with a white powder, as well as 22 bags, 25 small bags, and three wrappings with dry herb, along with three ecstasy pills, were confiscated.

In terms of traffic, 734 tickets were issued for various violations, with 105 for speeding, 25 for inadequate lights, nine for expired licenses, eight for talking on a cell phone while driving, and two for proven drunkenness.
